2020 Ford Expedition Review

When life demands a large SUV the entire family will fall in love with, it’s worth turning your attention to the 2020 Ford Expedition. Whether you’re in the driver’s seat or even in the passenger seat, the Expedition is fun to be in.
The World Ford Pensacola team is here to tell you what makes this SUV unique. Get ready for Pensacola, Crestview and Fort Walton Beach drives from behind the wheel of the 2020 Expedition.
Authoritative Expedition Performance
Big, bulky SUVs deserve better than a gas-guzzling engine. Ford engineers set out to create a fuel-efficient SUV that doesn’t need absurd power. With the 3.5L EcoBoost® engine, you get direct injection technology to maximize power and turbochargers capable of delivering power when you need it most.
This turbocharged engine generates 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, with the Platinum trim tuned to deliver 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Expedition drivers benefit from hill start assist and Hill Descent Control™ technology, too. If you’re stopped on an incline, hill start assist will hold the car in place to give you an extra moment to move from the brake to the accelerator.
The Expedition receives an EPA-estimated 17 city/24 highway MPG–solid fuel economy numbers for a large SUV.
Confidence Comes Standard
Feel confident on the roadways with standard Ford Co-Pilot360™, which offers protection from the front door to the highway and back home. Forward-thinking features in this suite include:
Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking: If a potential crash is detected with a car or pedestrian up ahead, you’ll receive a warning. If you aren’t able to react in time, brakes will automatically apply in an effort to avoid a crash.
Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert: This intuitive system has your back when changing lanes. “Can I get over?” You shouldn’t have to ask passengers (or yourself) this important question. Now, you’ll receive an alert if there’s a vehicle detected in your blind spot.
Auto High-Beam Headlamps: Stay a step ahead. These auto headlamps sense poor lighting conditions and can turn on without driver input needed. Other vehicles’ headlights can also be sensed ahead, dimming your lights momentarily and then activating the high beams again once another car passes.
A Stylish Interior Awaits
Inside the Expedition, you’ll have everything you’d expect from a large SUV. With seating for up to eight people, you’ll be ready to take on the roads with the entire family in tow. Plus, the available leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front captain’s chairs are a joy to own. Whether it’s a bit chilly out or it’s another hot Florida summer afternoon, you’ll be ready for anything.
Plus, with standard FordPass Connect™, you’ll have an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot. With the ability to connect up to 10 devices at one time, everyone riding along will be satisfied. Plus, you can even use the hotspot up to 50 feet outside the car, so get ready for that tailgate or camping trip.
