2020 Ford Super Duty Review
The Ford Super Duty has been the definition of “Built Ford Tough” for years. With strong structure and a robust and capable performance, it’s always been a true towing machine for those around Pensacola, Crestview, and Fort Walton Beach. Now, the brand is redefining what it means to be tough with the release of the 2020 Ford Super Duty.
The 2020 Super Duty offers higher tow ratings as well as more advanced, powerful engines. Plus, this pickup is including even more technologies for everything from productivity to connectivity.
We know that you’re ready to get a closer look at everything it’s set to offer, which is why the team at World Ford Pensacola is here with this detailed review! Check it out below to get a sneak peek at the 2020 Ford Super Duty.
More Power for 2020
This year, the Super Duty sees a bit of a change under the hood. In addition to the standard 6.2L V8 engine from last year, the 2020 model includes a more powerful 7.3L V8 engine and an improved 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 engine with more horsepower and torque.
There’s also a new available 10-speed TorqShift® with SelectShift® transmission. Designed with improved drive ratios, it makes shifting smoother and helps reduce emissions. Plus, it can even keep wear and tear on the powertrain to a minimum as you travel and tow.
Towing and Payload
For 2020, Ford set out to make the Super Duty even more of an impressive towing and hauling machine than it already is. In addition to the new engine options, this truck has a high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy body and steel frame, providing added protection.
Currently, Ford hasn’t released any official towing specs for the 2020 Super Duty. Based on its impressive performance from the previous model year, though, we can expect it to get around 18,000 to 21,000 pounds depending on the powertrain and model you choose.
If you need something with more capabilities for your business, you may want to look at the new F-600 Super Duty for 2020. It has a Class 5 Towing Package that allows it to provide an impressive Class 6 performance. When properly equipped, the 2020 Ford F-600 has up to 22,000 pounds of maximum GVWR.
2020 Ford Super Duty Technology
In addition to outstanding power and capabilities, all pickups in the 2020 Super Duty lineup will include a wide variety of advanced technologies to make your life at the jobsite a little bit easier. For example, you can use the class-exclusive Pro-Trailer Backup Assist™ for more convenient trailer connections.
The Super Duty is also set to have a Trailer Review Guidance System, which will give you a closer look at the angle and its direction. Plus, this system offers steering suggestions to guide the trailer where it needs to go.
Safety technologies are also available for 2020 Ford Super Duty pickups. From BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and trailer coverage monitors to Pre-Collison Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking, these trucks can give you the strength and innovation needed to keep you protected and aware of any danger.
These vehicles even come with FordPass Connect® with 4G LTE Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices, so you can easily stay connected to your entire crew.
