2021 Ford F-150 Tremor Review

What’s that quaking near Pensacola, Crestview, and Fort Walton Beach, Florida? Could it be the seismic 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor? Whoa, it is, and World Ford Pensacola shakes this model down to find out what’s rumbling underneath the hood and brewing behind its closed doors. Hold on tight—it’s going to be a rollicking ride!
Engine with Nerve
The F-150 Tremor uses a 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine that generates 400 horsepower with 500 lb-ft of torque. It takes nerve and plenty of power to get to where you’re going, and this pickup proves it. With this engine, you get a 10-speed automatic transmission to select the optimum gear for your travels and standard 4WD.
To customize your performance even more, choose a selectable driving mode including Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, Eco, Slippery and Deep Snow/Sand, Mud/Rut, and Rock Crawl. On the dashboard touchscreen, each mode features a different avatar for your convenience.
Tremor Towing
When you’re embarking on a towing voyage, count on the towing prowess of the Tremor. It will tow up to 10,900 pounds when properly equipped and sports a maximum payload of 1,885 pounds.
Attach your trailer with the standard Rear-View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist. This helps you to see exactly where you need to move to best hook up your trailer to your truck.
Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ enables you to turn a knob one way or another on your console and watch as your trailer and Tremor work in tandem to head in the same direction and at the same pace.
Shake Up Your Off-Road Performance
Other trail support systems assist your truck in a variety of ways, especially when traversing over tough and unstable terrain. While your Tremor comes with 4WD, the torque-on-demand transfer case morphs both this drivetrain and AWD to combat any off-road conditions it faces. With extra ground clearance and an upgraded suspension, your pickup builds up your tire traction.
Use Trail One-Pedal Drive to streamline and combine your throttle and brake power simultaneously, so that you’re gliding instead of jolting while rock crawling over rough passages. When you’re stuck in a tight spot off-road, the Trail Turn Assist reduces your steering radius by applying the brakes to the inside rear wheel. To maintain your speed on roads less traveled, the Trail Control acts as your cruise control.
Tremor Technology
While you’re doing your heavy towing and scanning for a safe spot, the available 360-degree camera displays what you need to see to find the best angle. These images appear on the 12-inch SYNC® 4 touchscreen, which also acts as an interface for your turn-by-turn directions and staying connected with those who need to know where you’re roaming.
